光电液塑限联合测定仪本仪器用来测定土壤的液限和塑限，为划分土类，计算天然稠度，塑性指数提供可靠的数据，供公路、铁路、水利电力、冶金、建筑等部门的工程设计和施工之用。

光电液塑限联合测定仪中我们把液态与可塑态分界处的含水率叫液限含水率（简称液限，记作ωi），可塑态与半固态分界处的含水率叫塑限含水率（简称塑限，记作ωP），半固态与固态分界处的含水率叫缩限含水率（简称缩限ωS）。实际上，土体不同状态之间的过渡是渐变的，为了使用上的方便，将给定的试验方法得到的含水率称作界限含水率。本章介绍中华人民共和国国家标准《土工试验方法标准》（GB/T50123-1999）中规定的液限和塑限试验方法。
